You damned lucky stiff, you. The greatest wine I ever put in my mouth, mustache and beard was the '50 d' Yquem in '00 (so half as old as yours). It was as dark as cola and thick as creme brulee. After the tasting I had lunch with d'Yquem's director and to my left was Julia. Julia was more interesting. Definitely not a sleepy time gal.

The oldest wine I ever tasted was also a Château d’Yquem, 1946.
